How Chillers Work

Leave a message

The chiller mentioned here mainly refers to the under-counter water chiller. Simply put, the chiller is a machine that outputs low-temperature chilled water, and the output chilled water temperature can be adjusted between 3-12 degrees Celsius.

The chiller consists of four main components: compressor, evaporator, condenser, and expansion valve, which realize the cooling and heating effects of the unit.

The purified water filtered by the water purifier passes through the chiller, and the heat is transferred from the water to the liquid refrigerant. The heat of the water turns the liquid refrigerant into gas. The gaseous refrigerant enters the compressor and becomes hot steam. After leaving the compressor, the refrigerant vapor enters the condenser side of the chiller, and the heat is transferred from the condenser to the air. After the heat is removed, the refrigerant is recondensed into liquid, and the current liquid refrigerant is reused to cool more water for the chiller.

Our water chiller uses R600a refrigerant.
